HARRY POTTER FANS: Ready to be simultaneously impressed and jealous? Take a look at this Christmas tree.
What a dream. The tree belongs to Kathryn Burnett, a Potter superfan who decided to put her collection of HP memorabilia to good use.
Most of the decorations reference the series in some way – here we have the Weasleys’ doomed Ford Anglia, a ticket for the Knight Bus, and a Chocolate Frog wrapper:
There’s Rowena Ravenclaw’s diadem (she also has miniature versions of Helga Hufflepuff’s cup and Slytherin’s locket):
Molly Weasley’s Howler:
A nod to Professor Umbridge (boo):
And the Sorting Hat (along with a Cornish pixie) at the top of the tree.
Incredible detail. According to Buzzfeed, Burnett picked up most of the items on her visits to the Warner Brother Studios near London (she’s been there a casual 11 times).
It took her eight hours in total to decorate the tree and arrange the display, she says:
My friends thought I was crazy when I told them what I was going to do, but I went ahead with it. My favourite decoration is the Cornish pixie at the top.”
You can look at more detailed pictures of the tree (and if you’re a Potter fan, we recommend that you do) here. Marvellous!
